Couples therapy is a joint process where both partners work with a therapist to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationship. It provides a neutral space to address issues, understand each other’s perspectives, and develop healthier interaction patterns.
Family
Family therapy involves working with a therapist to address dynamics and conflicts within related parties of 3 or more, helping members improve communication, understand each other better, and resolve issues together. Born and raised in Michigan, LaToya came to Dallas in 2010, after graduating from Hampton University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her time at Hampton, LaToya was involved in various campus activities, that included being a Peer Counselor, Student Conductor, and an administrator in various on campus organizations.
Throughout her career, LaToya has had experience as a Special Needs Advocate and Educator, where she has provided behavior support, tools and resources to families, schools, churches and local businesses within the community that are looking to provide an inclusive environment for their home and establishment.
With over 15 years of experience, LaToya has collaborated with parents, teachers, therapists, and licensed school and professional counselors to ensure that children who are at-risk, have an intellectual disability, or have personal challenges and are receiving support, from everyday living skills in the home to strategies in managing behaviors in school and in public. Pregnancy can be a life-altering experience that can feel heartbreaking when things don’t go as planned or you’re experiencing postpartum depression. Your inner critic may be telling you that you are broken for having postpartum depression or for not “moving on” like other people in your life after losing a pregnancy. Elizabeth helps women who are struggling with pregnancy or adjusting to life postpartum. In therapy, she helps clients learn skills to handle these challenges and walks with them through this journey as their identity changes in motherhood.
Elizabeth grew up in Texas and got her bachelor’s degree at the University of North Texas at Arlington. After that, she moved to Florida and got her master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. Elizabeth found her passion for mental health during a period when she needed to seek help herself. Erin Gdovin is a passionate and compassionate marriage, family, and individual counselor dedicated to the development, healing, and empowerment of her clients. Dylan was born in 1991 and raised in Cedar Hill, Texas. Through his experience of being a camp counselor and youth minister, he heard a calling to get into counseling. Already having a solid foundation of working with children and families, he figured he could apply those skills apply them to working with different populations of people. He has a heart for helping others and wants to help make a change and difference in their lives. He wants to help people feel like they do have power over their problems and that they have the tools to make changes in their lives to live successful lives. He prides himself on listening to each client that he works with and he wants to make each client feel heard and valued. He tries his best to be as encouraging as possible towards his clients and help them achieve their goals.
Dylan attended Howard Payne University, where he graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts. He went on to receive his first master’s degree in Family Ministry from Hardin Simmons University in 2018. He finished his second master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hardin Simmons University in August 2023. He currently works as Treatment Foster Care Case Coordinator at a foster care agency where he works with foster children and foster parents. The children that he works with have major behaviors and have been in the foster care system for a while and need nurturing homes to help them get to less restrictive settings. Born into a military family, Daniele frequently moved throughout her childhood. Through this experience, she grew a passion for art-making, providing her with a sense of stability amidst some of the uncertainty of military life. Art became a safe space where she could process her emotions and communicate her thoughts and feelings when words fell short.
Daniele is a self-taught artist with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is now pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy from Antioch University Seattle to cultivate skills to help create a safe and nurturing space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and inner-self through creative expression. He also offers comprehensive couples counseling for premarital, marital, or open relationship guidance. He focuses on authentic and empathetic listening to unpack and address the root causes of issues that weigh us down.
A Lifetime of Local Service
Roger, a native Texan, grew up in Dallas and has supported a wide range of people throughout his professional and personal life. Starting in his teaching days in DeSoto and Arlington, he’s also been a school principal, an HR director in one of the major urban school districts in Texas, and a consultant to school districts from Texas to the West Coast.
After transitioning to a career in mental health, Roger now serves as a crisis counselor supervisor at one of the largest non-profit crisis support centers in the United States and has also contributed his expertise as a peer crisis counselor at Crisis Text Line and RAINN. His commitment to providing compassionate support during critical times stems from the belief that good mental health is a right for all.

Roger completed his undergraduate studies at Dallas Baptist University and earned three Master’s degrees—two from Dallas Baptist and one from Liberty University, focusing on human services counseling, particularly crisis response and trauma. Additionally, he pursued post-Master’s studies at Dallas Baptist and Concordia Universities, continually enhancing his expertise and skills.

Pallavi Sharma

Pallavi originally moved to the United States from Nepal at the age of four. During her first few years in the United States, living in rural areas, she witnessed the hardships that families had to endure in order to adjust to the culture in a new country and be able to provide for their families. Throughout her childhood and her adolescence, she has been able to experience the different lifestyles of many communities; from rural areas of Chicago, Illinois, to the suburban areas of Omaha, Nebraska, and then to the diversified communities of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Moving from city to city as she grew older, allowed her to understand the different problems that are present in all different communities in all different age groups.
As a counselor, Pallavi has been working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship conflicts and roadblocks, adults facing life changes, South Asian cultural stressors and trauma, as well as childhood and complex trauma, and stress. Pallavi is also currently an EMDR trained therapist who has experience working with trauma as well as unresolved emotional experiences. She uses solution-focused approaches, as well as cognitive approaches, to guide individuals to a better understanding of their own patterns of thinking.
Pallavi received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University, in San Antonio, Texas, in 2016, and decided to move back to Dallas to further her career. Pallavi believes that it is important to work on educating members of the diversified communities of Dallas on the importance of taking care of their mind as well as their bodies. She sees children ages 8 and up, teens, adults, couples, and families, especially those experiencing addictive behaviors, chronic pain, depression, grief, sexual issues, trauma and PTSD.
With a warm heart and an open mind, Tanya welcomes clients of all ages and backgrounds. She is dedicated to fostering resilience and promoting positive change. Her holistic approach to therapy is rooted in empowerment and education.
