Consultations

A 15-minute free consultation with a therapist offers an opportunity to ask questions, discuss your concerns, and get a sense of the therapist's approach, helping you determine if they’re a good fit for your needs. It’s a low-pressure way to explore therapy options before committing to a full session.

Individual

Individual therapy is a personal, one-on-one space with a licensed therapist. It is tailored to your needs, offering guidance, coping strategies, and a safe environment for self-reflection.

Couple

Couples therapy is a joint process where both partners work with a therapist to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationship. It provides a neutral space to address issues, understand each other’s perspectives, and develop healthier interaction patterns.

Child/Adolescent

Child/Adolescent therapy provides a safe, supportive space for your minor child to explore their feelings, behaviors, and experiences through age-appropriate methods like play, art, or talk. It aims to help them process emotions, build coping skills, and address specific challenges like anxiety, trauma, or behavioral issues.

Amanda Robottom was born in Landstuhl, Germany. Throughout her childhood, the home location depended on her mother’s military orders. When she graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas with a secondary teaching certificate in hand to accompany her degrees in Speech Communication and English, she believed she was fulfilling her life’s mission teaching high school. Three and a half years later, her husband received a job offer that would forever change their lives. Initially pursuing the educational field to empower adolescents, the career change came when Amanda discovered the need for an empathetic ear, healing, and support spanned age, culture, religion, language, and physical ability. Ten years, three countries, and various volunteer opportunities later, Amanda applied and was accepted to Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem’s Master of Arts in Counseling program graduating in 2023. Volunteering in school settings with third-culture kids, runaways in transitional homes, and single mothers while living abroad, she witnessed the strength and freedom found in doing life together. However, like so many others, Amanda realized that sometimes, people need help from outside of their social circle to provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment that encourages them to lay down their burdens, erase old habits, and create new healthier ways of living; this is the environment she aims to produce for her clients. Amanda works with clients dealing with the challenges that surround Repatriation Adjustment and Expatriation Planning or Issues. Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and their three sons, preferably on a beach with clear water or adventuring in a new country in her free time. She also enjoys reading, quilting, binging procedural shows, spending time with family and friends, volunteering, attending church, and contemplating training for another half marathon.
